Free Contraception available for women aged 17 -35 years

The HSE have introduced a free contraception service for Women aged 17-35

  • We are delighted to offer this service from 15-Sep-2022

  • This covers 2 visits a years for doctor consultation for pill/patch contraception and emergency contraception.

    • All contraceptives: Pill, Patch, Nuva ring

  • Its also covers the consultation and procedure cost of long term contraception

    • IUD, (Mirena, Jaydess Coil)

    • Implanon

  • This service also applies to the cost of the medication in the pharmacy

  • The only exclusion at present is the supply fee of the copper coil-the insertion fee for this coil is covered
